Donor Tree

With the re-opening of Westbrook School in August 2006, the District 57 Education Foundation partnered with the District to convert the Westbrook library into a one-of-a-kind Learning Resource Center for District 57’s young learners. The new LRC is a state-of-the-art, literacy-enhancing environment complete with graduated risers for performances, reading nooks, a multi-story platform structure for free reading, murals and more.

Anyone who participates in the Donor Tree, which is hanging in the Westbrook LRC, has their name engraved on a leaf, acorn or stone. The tree will be on permanent display at Westbrook School.
