Strategic Objectives

1)    The District will research alternative methods and formats for the provision of professional development activities to District staff.

Approach:  A report will be issued to the Board of Education, which will highlight the proposals developed for new and innovative methods through which professional development activities may be provided to all District personnel. The Board of Education will then have the option of acting on any/all recommendations contained within the report, upon review and discussion.

Responsible Role(s): District Administration, Building Staffs

Time Frame: 2008-09

2)   The District will implement and monitor the new Wellness Procedures for District 57 students.

Approach:  A mid-year progress report will be issued to the Board of Education, which will document the implementation of the new Wellness procures and their effect on our students. Any subsequent revisions of the procedures will be brought to the Board of Education for review.

Time Frame:  2008-09
