Strategic Objectives
1)    The District will complete a comprehensive communications audit and create a plan for implementation.                                                                                        
Approach:  A communications audit will be conducted to identify the best methods through which the internal and external stakeholders of District 57 may be engaged in meaningful communications efforts. The audit will examine prior recommendations made for the improvement of communications efforts. The audit will also produce the recommendations necessary for the crafting of a new Communications Plan for the District.

Responsible Role(s): Board of Education/Administration, Staff, Community/Parent Volunteers                                                                           

Time Frame: 2008-09

2)    The District will furnish additional opportunities for parents and community to be engaged in District issues, utilizing technology, such as web-based news subscription services.

Apporach:  Using the information and data produced by the communications audit, the District will strive to provide additional information venues and opportunities for engagement to all stakeholders. Various instruments, including our annual internal communications survey, will be used in order to assess the progress made by the District in attaining communications benchmarks.
