The District 57 Education Foundation generated excitement throughout the community with the announcement of its first-ever car raffle. The 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit was unveiled at the Foundation Golf Outing on Sept. 16. The car made another appearance at the Prospect High School football game on Oct. 7, when ticket sales began. 

Tickets are $20. Each District family is being asked to purchase at least one. Tickets were mailed to all homes in November. In addition, the car will be on display and tickets will be sold at school events and gatherings around town over the next few months. Must be 18 or older to win. The winner is responsible for all dealer charges, fees and taxes. If fewer than 1,300 raffle tickets are sold, the winner will receive 75 percent of total ticket sales, not to exceed the Foundation's vehicle purchase price. 

The Rabbit is being made available by The Autobarn VW of Mt. Prospect.
