Strategic Objectives

1)    The District will develop a multi-year plan to address the needs identified in the 10-year Life Safety Study.

Measurements: A comprehensive report will be completed that identifies the facilities needs of District 57 and contains a plan and schedule for addressing those needs. This report will be designed for a multi-year period, and will be reviewed and updated every year. Operational and facilities needs will be related to the identified educational outcomes for District students. Options for meeting those needs, and the revenue streams that will provide for funding will be included in the plan.                                                                                             
Responsible Role(s): Superintendent, Business Manager, District Architect, and Board of Education Members

Time Frame: 2008-09

2)   The District will examine the utilization of the available spaces at Westbrook School.

Approach:  A study of the options for the usage of available space at Westbrook School will be conducted. Both internal and external programs will be evaluated as to their appropriateness for the Westbrook spaces. A report will be issued to the Board of Education with space usage recommendations for the 2009-10 school year and beyond.
