Mount Prospect School District 57 Technology Advisory Committee Technology Plan

This document is meant to be used by the TAC during the revision project. It is publicly shared for community access. Comments are welcomed (email Bob Furst).


The TAC has been charged with the task of drafting a District Technology plan revision. The District's 5 year plan is into its third year. The revision will again cover a 5 year period through 2011. It will be submitted for approval as required by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as a renewal to District 57's ISBE plan, due to expire in June of 2007.

The TAC went through an exercise to identify the important concepts of the plan's vision. Some of these concepts were extracted from the current plan's vision.

•A first draft was constructed by Rich and Bob.
• Some minor revisions were made at the 2/27/2006 TAC meeting.

Organize Subcommittees and decide on subcommittee meeting dates.
 12/16/2005Subcommittee membership started from the members present at the 12/5/05 meeting. 
Curriculum and Professional Development subcommittees have recruited membership from District Tech Curr Committee.

  • identify data and/or surveys needed
  • develop surveys, where necessary, to measure current plan's results.

Subcommittee meetings to be held December 2005 through April 2006.

Community meetings were held 1/5/2006, 1/16/2006, and 2/6/2006.  Meeting scheduled for 3/6/2006

Curr/Instruction and Professional Development subcommittes have merged and met on 2/27/2006. A survey is being deployed to staff. A second meeting was held on 4/4/2006 to review the survey results. Third meeting held 4/18/2006 4pm.
