Technology Plan 2003-2008

Revision Process

The District has a Five Year Technology Plan -- FY 2004 through FY 2008. This document has been submitted and approved to be the Illinois ISBE Approved Technology Plan to cover the District through June 2007.

Below is the process that was used to produce the document.

This document is meant to be used by the TAC during the revision project. It is publicly shared for community access. Comments are welcomed (email Bob Furst).


The TAC has been charged with the task of drafting a District Technology plan revision. The District's State approved 5 year plan is into its fourth year. The revision will again cover a 5 year period through 2008. The committee has a developed a task list for the revision project:

  1. Meet with other School Districts' advisory committees to identify important issues and possible collaboration and resource sharing.
  2. Staff survey(s)
  3. Develop a document outlining current reality and future requirements in the categories of a)Community Involvement, b)Engaged Learning, c)Professional Development, d)Technology Deployment.

Documents, data and resources used for the revision process


  • Laptop Survey - As a result of a foundation grant, a small group teachers had been issued laptops as a pilot project. The teachers were asked to fill out a survey to assess the success of the pilot and the results collated.

2/10/03 - Meeting Notes The goal for this meeting is to have the "Where we are and "where we would like to be" of the Gap worksheet completed along with any items to abandon.
2/24/03 - The goal for this meeting is to share each subcommittee's Gap Analysis results.
