District 57 Recognized for Outstanding Achievement
It was announced this week that Mount Prospect School District 57 is one of the recipients of the SchoolSearch Bright A+ Award. This award is bestowed upon those school districts with the highest academic performance in Illinois.
For 2007, School Search honors sixty-two (62) Illinois School Districts (out of 872) with the A+Award for academic excellence. These schools are among the top 5% of Illinois school districts academically based on the on the overall percentage of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ISAT (Illinois Standards Achievement Test) meets or exceeds percentages of reading and math. The Illinois average for this measure is 76.54%. Elementary/Unit School Districts with a percentage of 92.60% or above qualified for this award.
District 57 is one of 13 Cook County School district to receive this honor. This also marks the 4th consecutive year of rising test scores in District 57. The overall meets and exceeds average for District 57 was 93.50%.
